RAJASTHAN CHIEF minister Vasundhara Raje said here on Wednesday that a tourism circuit between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan was possible, provided the sector was raised to a certain level.
The Rajasthan chief minister, who was here to attend the silver jubilee function of a Hindi daily at Ravindra Bhavan told newspersons that MP had the potential to surge ahead of her state in tourism.
She said she read about the development of the sector in the State from a magazine. “I fear Madhya Pradesh might go ahead of Rajasthan in tourism field”, she added.
She however, parried a question on the confrontation between the two states in the wake of seizure of transport buses by both the sides.
Earlier, speaking at the programme she said media had a big role to play in creating awareness in public. ‘If a newspaper followed a certain line its readers also stuck to the same line. These days pen is mightier than sword,’ she said.
Speaking about late Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia she said ‘after her marriage she resolved to consider the society and the state as her family and always stuck to her resolution.’
She left for Jaipur after her brief speech as she was to distribute the prizes at the international one-dayer played at Jaipur.
Others who attended the programme include senior BJP leaders Pyarelal Khandelwal, Vikram Verma, Sumitra Mahajan, Maya Singh and Thavarchand Gehlot.
