A three-day office bearers and executive committee meeting of the Maharashtra unit of BJP will begin in Mumbai from July 10 to chalk out strategies and programmes for the crucial assembly elections to be held later this year.

Party president Rajnath Singh will participate in the deliberations. The valedictory session on July 12 will be addressed by senior leader and Lok Sabha MP Gopinath Munde, state unit spokesperson Madhav Bhandari said in Mumbai on Wednesday.

He said the state office bearers meeting will be held on July 10 while the two day executive will meet on July 11 and 12.

Highlights of the three-day conclave will be to review political situation in the state, analyse Lok Sabha election results where the party bagged only nine seats and chalk out strategies and programmes to galvanise the cadre.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who was in charge of the state for the Lok Sabha elections, will not attend the meeting. Bhandari said Modi's role in the state BJP was only till the elections.
