PMK on Saturday said that it was hopeful of DMK alliance, of which it is a constituent, winning the assembly polls, held on April 13, and DMK president and chief minister M Karunanidhi becoming chief minister for the sixth time.

PMK founder S Ramadoss was talking to reporters after meeting Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence in Chennai.

PMK president G K Mani and former minister of State for Railways AK Moorthy were also part of the "courtesy call."

The party had contested 30 seats in the assembly polls.

Candidates of the DMK alliance for 13 constituencies in Vellore district met Karunanidhi at the party's headquarters.
