Despite bans and FIRs against him for his "honeymoon" remark against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, a defiant Ramdev on Tuesday continued to attack the party in Himachal Pradesh saying it forced the Election Commission into taking action against him.
Ramdev has been booked across the country for "insulting" the Dalit community by his controversial remark under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
"Congress has a habit of lying. There are two ills in Congress' genes - lying and looting the country," said Ramdev in Chamba.
The yoga guru had on Monday said it was the Congress that has insulted the Dalits and the poor by starving them.
He also released photos to support his claim that he has always supported Dalits and once again accused Congress of using Dalits as vote bank.
"I had meant Rahul Gandhi used Dalits as vote bank. Some parties trying to provoke Dalit sentiments against me," he said.
Ramdev, who said Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi visited Dalit homes for "honeymoon and picnic", was banned from holding a camp in the Congress leader's constituency Amethi in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.
He has also been banned by the EC in Lucknow as well as Kangra and Chamba in Himachal Pradesh from holding camps.
The yoga guru also alleged that Himachal chief minister Virbhadra Singh is conspiring against him by not allowing him to hold camps in the state.
Meanwhile, defending the yoga guru, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that Congress is maligning spiritual leaders.
