Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Friday appreciated the Allahabad High Court verdict on the Ayodhya issue, and called upon all sections of society to leave aside the “mandir-masjid” issue and help the country move forward on the path of progress.

Speaking to reporters after a yoga camp at Railway Colony here, the Baba said there could have been no better verdict, as it had satisfied all sections. “We should now look forward to strengthening national unity and communal harmony as Lord Rama did not belong only to Hindus, but to all humanity.”

“Perhaps this historic verdict will open a new and positive chapter in Hindu-Muslim unity,” he said.

Opposing the Commonwealth Games, he said the huge amount of money being spent on the event could have been used for improving the education and health infrastructure in the country.
