Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon today showered praise on Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi by saying that she was his fan and country needed more leaders like him.
Tandon's comment come just a few days after, bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan had to face criticism from ruling Congress and left parties for becoming brand ambassador of Gujarat tourism.
"I am a big fan of Modiji," Tandon said during launch of the 8th chapter of Women's wing of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) known as FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) here where Gujarat chief minister was chief guest.
"We need more leaders like you to run this country," she said concluding her address.
Recently, Bachchan had to face severe criticism from the Congress and the Left parties over his association with Gujarat by becoming the brand ambassador for the state.
The CPI-M led LDF Kerala government had backed out from appointing Bachchan as brand ambassador of Kerala Tourism following the actor's association with Modi-led Gujarat government and him being brand ambassador for Gujarat Tourism.
