RDB gears up for the Oscars

India's entry for Oscars in the foreign film category will have have a full fledged theatrical release in the United States in March next year.

UTV CEO Ronnie Screwvala, who has produced the film which is among this year's biggest box office grossers, told UNI the film was being re-edited to make the duration two hour and ten minutes from the present two hours and forty minutes to suit the Western audiences.

Ronnie, who was here at the 37th IFFI to promote his upcoming production Anurag Basu-directed Metro, told UNI that there had been four screenings of Rang De.... so far.

"Next month we have planned around 17 screenings in different U.S cities. No matter what is the fate of our film at the Oscar nominations, which will be declared in January, we will release the film in the US because our aim is to give Indian cinema a good reach and presence among the
