Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered a re-poll in two polling stations of Kargil assembly segment, where polling was suspended following a clash between supporters of two parties, on November 20.

The re-poll has been ordered in Saliskot (polling station no 48) and Aapati (polling station no 91), both falls in Kargil constituency, Deputy Commissioner Kargil and District Election Officer Satish Nehru said.

Polling was suspended at both the stations following a clash between supporters of National Conference candidate Qamar Ali Akhoon and Congress supported independent Haji Nissar Ali.

The ECI has ordered re-poll after obtaining a report from returning officer and election observer of the constituency.
