Reasi deputy commissioner Sushma Chauhan on Monday reviewed the ongoing relief and reconstruction works for the flood-affected people in the district. Senior officers of the district administration attended the meeting.
Officers of various departments briefed the DC on the latest status of post-flood reconstruction works and relief operations undertaken in the district. It was informed that 1,645 houses were fully damaged during the floods and relief has been provided to all of them whose houses were fully damaged.
Also 18 temporary shelter sheds to flood-affected families of Seri and Mansoo villages were set up and 401 families are being provided rent every month.
She asked officers to work in close coordination to ensure timely completion of ongoing rehabilitation works for the flood-affected families.
DC said that the Reasi district administration was committed to ensure proper rehabilitation of the flood-affected families in the district as per the government's relief and rehabilitation policy.
She also directed all officials to bring efficiency and transparency in their working to improve the service delivery mechanism.
