The INLD on Tuesday complained to the chief electoral officer (CEO) that recruitment of clerical staff in Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, was on after the model code of conduct had come into force.
Stating that model code of conduct had come into force on September 12, the INLD national general secretary RS Chaudhry alleged in his complaint to CEO that the test for recruiting 32 clerks was held on September 14.
Alleging that varsity vice-chancellor Maj Gen Shri Kant (retd) was pressuring the registrar of the university to conduct interviews of the candidates so that candidates of the choice of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, could be selected, Chaudhry urged the CEO to look into the matter.
In another complaint, Chaudhry alleged that the Haryana government was giving extensions and re-employing the retiring or retired HCS, IAS and IPS officers in the government. Naming Krishan Mohan, KC Sharma, Yudhvir Singh, KS Bhoria, Saroj Siwach, TK Sharma, Mahender Humar, PV Rathee, RS Dalal, Jag Pravesh Dahiya, MS Yadav, Lajvir Singh, PK Sharma and Shadi Lal Kapoor in the context, Chaudhry alleged that the retention of such retired officers created bias in favour of the ruling party and negated the process of holding fair and free elections.
