The bedroom is the most intimate room in the house, thus it can signify the way you perceive your inner self. The bedroom falls under the influence of the planet Venus or Shukra. Venus is devoted to the pleasures of making love and nurturing one with prosperity.
Treat your bedroom with love and care. If your bedroom is dark and dull, you may have low self-esteem, but if it is bright and airy, you may find yourself giving away your positive energy to your spouse and others.
Tips to energise romance:
Creating a mood of romance, intimacy and relaxation with comfortable furnishings, clean bed linen, curtains for privacy and soft lighting.
Good colours for the bed room — soft green, aqua, mauve or rose, terracotta, peach, beige. Not just the walls, think art, bed linen, pillows, curtains and other items you have on hand.
Avoid having a TV in the bedroom, unless you can place it in a cabinet with a closed door.
Your bed should look, feel, and smell inviting. Also make your bed everyday.
Display romantic pictures, photographs, and art that depict happy couple.
Do not display photographs of your children or parents here, as their gaze can subtly distract you from being a couple.
The bedside tables should be approximately the same size, if not matching. This is to have balance and equality in your married relationship.
Angular furniture with sharp corners sends out negative chi, straining your relationship. Furniture should be rounded.
Keep the bathroom door closed.
Sleeping between two doors make you quarrel a lot with your spouse and sleeping between two pillars make you irritable.
Do not sleep with a overhead beam cutting the bed into two. The negative energy coming from above symbolically divides the bed into two, and so splits the couple in the same way.
Avoid sleeping in a bedroom that is located directly below a toilet on the upper floor. The toilet sends negative chi.
