An accused in the murder of a senior BJP leader's wife has been arrested in Delhi and later brought in Muzaffarnagar, police officials said on Monday.
The accused, Ashok, carried a cash reward of Rs 12 lakh, was absconding since the murder of Revati Singh, wife of senior BJP leader Hukum Singh, they said.
Apart from Ashok, four others have already been taken into custody in connection with the murder, and cash amounting to Rs 52 lakhs have been recovered from them. Two other accused, Pradeep and Sunil, are still at large, they said.
Revati Singh (75) was found murdered and Rs 68 lakhs found missing from her residence in Muzaffarnagar in July 2010.
