Deputy commissioner Abhishek Jain on Tuesday directed revenue officials to implement the provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Public Services Guarantee Act by providing time-bound services to the citizens. He said this during an inspection of the Una tehsil office.

Jain directed the tehsildar to install boards displaying the maximum time period allowed for the delivery of each service, including issuing of various certificates, registrations and for other revenue matters.

He said important services like land demarcation should be given to the applicant within reasonable time and further directed the officials to make registers showing the dates of important actions taken for each demarcation process.

The DC directed the officials to update and organise the records since the revenue documents were meant to be preserved. He also directed the public dealing officials to give due receipts for the prescribed payments received for different services.

Jain announced Rs 1 lakh for the repair and maintenance of the tehsil complex.
