Don’t even think Sholay. Mercifully, this film does not attempt its own version of the classic. Even if it often feels like some relic of the 70s, with two buddies — honest police officer Jai Mehra (Fardeen Khan) and loyal con Veeru (Kunal Khemu) — on the heels of a mafia don Tejpal (Arbaaz Khan).

To put it very politely, Fardeen Khan is a hoot as an undercover agent, Arbaaz Khan is reliably expressionless and Kunal Khemu overdoes it.

The film is so atrocious the item numbers come almost as a relief. If this is a paean to friendship, give us interesting enemies any time.
