Rifle shooting competition on November 5

THE BHOPAL District Rifle Club (BDRC) will organise Raj Kumar Agrawal Memorial Trophy Bhopal Open Rifle Shooting Competition at 25th Battalion Firing Range on November 5. 

Talking to the journalists, State Election Commission Commissioner AV Singh said the event would be organised in memory of Raj Kumar Agrawal. “The trophy is in his memory. This will be a running trophy, said Singh.

The competition would be held for 0.22 bore rifles (open sight). The organisers have limited number of entries to 120. “We want to give an opportunity to every participant.

By limiting the entries, the objective is to make the event competitive,” said Aruneshwar Singhdeo, director, BDRC, who was also present at the press conference. The entries will be given on the first cum first serve basis, he added.

The competition will be held in one category, which is open to men women and children. Shooters can bring their own weapons or use the weapons to be provided by the organisers.

Rakesh Agrawal, the son of Raj Kumar Agrawal, will distribute prizes at the prize distribution function. The   entry forms are available at Indore Gun House, Fatehgarh near Fire Brigade. The last date to for registering name for the competition is November 5 by 9 am. For further details, interested shooters may contact Shahab Ahmed at 98932-40191.
