FOR BAHUJAN Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, the ‘bhaichara’ (brotherhood) between Dalits and Brahmins will be a potent weapon to capture power in the coming assembly elections. But her rivals, including Lok Janshakti Party president Ram Vilas Paswan, Justice Party leader Udit Raj, Bharatiya Samaj Party leader Om Prakash Rajbhar and BS- 4 leader RK Chaudhary, are all gearing up to deflate ‘bhaichara’ and upset her applecart.
Udit Raj said anti-Brahmanism was the very genesis of the BSP and for the sake of power it was diluting its philosophy. The Justice Party has already launched a campaign to educate the members of the Dalit community about the designs of Mayawati. “I will present my party as an alternative and urge the dalits to ensure the defeat of BSP candidates in the assembly elections”, said Udit Raj.
LJSP president and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has also launched a tirade against ‘bhaichara’. Speaking in the Dalit- Muslim rallies organised by the party in various corners of the State, Paswan said the ‘bhaichara’ of Mayawati was a means to grab power.
Om Prakash Rajbhar said he parted ways with Mayawati as she diluted the philosophy of Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram to stay in power. “I will expose her in public meetings and rallies in various corner of the State”, he declared.
