RASHTRIYA LOK Dal (RLD) leader Chaudhary Ajit Singh made an attempt to woo Muslim voters in the state by saying there was no political party in the state other than RLD, which was in a position to help them.

While speaking at Quami Ekta Sammelan at Leader Press ground here today he said, till now all political parties including the congress had been securing Muslim votes by inciting BJP’s fear but eighty percent Hindus, by keeping congress out of power in the state prove that they were not interested in such poll gimmicks anymore.

He said, as far as the BJP is concerned it has been damaged so badly by LK Advani that the party will not be able to rejuvenate itself before two decades.
Coming back to his point of convincing and placating the Muslims, he said that under these circumstances it was his party alone, which was the sole messiah of the Muslims in the state.

Commenting on riots he said, his party was planning to take the troublemakers to task by moving a bill in the assembly with a provision for an independent commission.

He said that there is need to start many institutions on the lines of Aligarh Muslim University in the state. Such educational institutions were necessary for providing better educational facilities for Muslim women.
