Road rage: JD(U) MLC’s husband, guard sent to 14-day judicial custody

A court in Bihar’s Gaya district remanded on Monday Bindeshwari Prasad Yadav alias Bindi Yadav and his wife JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi’s bodyguard Rajesh Kumar to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the murder case of 20 year-old Aditya Sachdeva.

Additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM)- VI Sanjay Kumar Jha remanded them to judicial custody after the duo were produced in the court, a day after they were arrested in connection with the case in which the prime accused and MLC’s son Rakesh Ranjan Yadav alias Rocky Yadav is absonding.

The two were taken to the Gaya central jail for interrogation, Magadh Zone DIG Saurabh Kumar said.

In another development, four friends of the murdered youth, who were travelling with him in car, recorded their statements under section 164 of CrPC (recording of confessions and statements).

Mohammad Nasir, Mohammad Kaifi, Ankit Kumar and Ayush Agrawal recorded their statements before the first-class judicial magistrate Rakesh Ranjan Singh narrating the sequence of events leading to their friend’s murder.

Rocky Yadav allegedly shot dead Aditya Sachdeva for overtaking his car.
