Former Bond actor Roger Moore is making an acting comeback with romantic comedy Connemara Days. The movie is a fictional story about the making of 1952 classic The Quiet Man.

The film will be made in the Irish village of Cong, Co Mayo, where the Hollywood original, starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara and directed by John Ford, was filmed. The movie also stars Aidan Quinn, Geraldine Chaplin and Stacy Keach, the Daily Express reported.

"The Quiet Man is one of my all-time favourite films. The opportunity to revisit the time when Hollywood arrived in Ireland to shoot it was simply too delicious to miss," Moore said.

The 82-year-old was last seen in 2002 film The Boat Trip.
