Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif have hailed coach Greg Chappell and skipper Rahul Dravid for devising the "rolling camp" for Indian cricketers which they described as a novel concept that benefitted individual players in no small measure.
"It was a good camp. We worked on specific areas, especially fielding and batting, where we concentrated a lot", Yuvraj said.
Fellow middle-order batsman Kaif said dividing players into small groups helped focus on individuals, resulting in personal attention to each one of them.
The camp was different, challenging and hectic, he said.
Both said practising with golf balls helped in middling cricket balls better.
On his role in the side, Yuvraj said he had had a good stint in ODIs in recent times and was looking forward to continued good performances.
Kaif said that keeping one's place in the team was no easy task and he would look to cement the spot for the long term.
