If you have Rs 2.3 crore lying around, the legendary prancing horse can now be parked in your garage. Ferrari, iconic on the racetrack and off it, is bringing in its car to India. Delhi in the next few months and Mumbai later will have a dealership each.

The cheapest one will be Rs 2.27 crore and the top model will be Rs 3.37 crore. The importers of the sportscar will bring the latest FF model, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, as well as popular models like California, 458 Italia and 599 GTB.

In 2010, Ferrari sold 6,573 cars worldwide. China is its fastest growing market though the demand in India - the world's second fastest growing market - is pegged at less than 500 a year.

Anyone buying a Ferrari today would join the league of Sachin Tendulkar, Ratan Tata, Vijay Mallya and Sanjay Dutt, among others in a still very small group. The catch: a waiting period that could go up to 18 months.
