MP CM congratulated Abhinav Bindra for winning first-ever individual gold medal in Beijing Olympics and announced a reward of Rs five lakh for his "golden performance" in the 10-meter air rifle event.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday congratulated Abhinav Bindra for winning first-ever individual gold medal in Beijing Olympics and announced a reward of Rs five lakh for his "golden performance" in the 10-meter air rifle event.
Lauding the achievement of 25-year-old Bindra, who was the recipient of Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, Chouhan said that his historic achievement would definitely inspire the other players of the country, an official release said.

Bindra is the first person in the country to win an individual gold medal in the Olympics, he said, adding it was a historic moment for the country and Bindra.
