The efforts of Maoists to create a 'red corridor' in Siliguri like the one in Nepal should be thwarted at any cost, said RSS chief KS Sudarshan.
The "evil designs" of Maoists, who appeared as a major threat to the country, should be foiled at any cost, he said.
The Maoists were out to create a red corridor like in neighbouring Nepal which had to be resisted at all costs in the greater interest of "Bharat Mata", he said.
Addressing a huge gathering in Siliguri on Sunday at Baghajatin Park on the occasion of the birth centenary of MS Golwalkar, Sudarshan said, "Jehdis from Islam, Imperialists from Christian community and the Maoists were the three major threats to the country."
The RSS chief said that the time was ripe for the Hindu community to enrich their religion by uprooting the 'caste discrimination' which was still prevailing in society.
Swami Hiranmayananda of Bharat Sevashram Sangha was also present at the programme.
