Words did the rounds in political circles on Monday that governor Ram Naresh Yadav resigned from his post. However, Raj Bhavan media cell denied having any such information.

Senior Supreme Court lawyer Vivek Tankha posted on his Twitter page, "MP Governor resigns. Is it because of involvement in Vyapam scam. Which signals more heads to roll. High time it happened. Cry for Justice."

The NDA government at the Centre headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ensured that certain governors appointed during the UPA regime including Mizoram governor Dr Kamla Beniwal step down from their posts.

A few days ago, Uttarakhand governor Aziz Qureshi took exception to the union home secretary asking him to resign. Governor Yadav is in line of fire from the Congress leaders since his officer on special duty Dhanraj Yadav was arrested in connection with MPPEB examination scam.
