THE THIRTEENTH state-level rural science competition-cum-fair for schools organised by the MP Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) will be held from November 14 to 16 at the Regional Science Centre in the city.
The exhibition will be conducted at the Community Hall, Ravishankar Nagar. The exhibition will include models that were selected from the district-level rural science fairs organised at all the 48 districts on November 7 and 8.
The winning students and accompanying teachers participating in the state-level fair will be paid the travel allowance, lodging and boarding costs by the MPBSE.
The top three winners at the state-level competition will be awarded cash prize of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively. Three consolation prizes of Rs 500 each will also be given away. The exhibition will be open to public on all three days free of cost.
The first three prize-winning exhibits will be included in the national level rural science fair sponsored by Intel to be held later during the year.
If any of the models by the participants of the state were selected for patenting, the MPBSE would bear the cost of patenting.
