A flight attendant of the Russian airline Aeroflot allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the 16th floor of a five-star hotel in Mumbai today, police said.
Andreyan Alexander had gone to the hotel with four other colleagues last night where they had taken a room, they said adding the group was staying on the 16th floor of Hotel Trident in south Mumbai.
According to the police, Alexander's colleagues said he was in an inebriated state and received a phone call at around 0100 hours.
After speaking for some time over the phone, Alexander allegedly got very agitated and ran across the room and jumped from the window, his colleagues have told the police.
The Aeroflot employee's body was found by the poolside of the hotel, police said, adding further investigations were on.
