Expressing concern over continuous ceasefire violations along the LoC due to which several villagers were forced to leave their homes, Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has demanded that looking at the complete failure of the present state government lead by Omar Abdullah on all fronts, it should be sacked immediately and the governor rule should be imposed.

JSM president Virender Gupta said: "Continuation of Omar Abdullah as J&K chief minister is a risk for country's integrity and also for restoring peace and communal harmony in state."

Instead of taking care of the state administration, development activities and restoring confidence of people he indulges in raising the morale of separatist forces by his actions, he said.

"His statements challenging the integration of J&K with India, asking for removal of AFPSA, making security forces a target of his criticism thereby making them defensive in their operations against militants and separatists, and adopting soft policy towards militants have given a boost to separatist forces," he said.

"This has encouraged Pakistan which is why it is frequently violating the ceasefire agreement on the border with a motive to send infiltrators," he added.

It urged the Centre to give a befitting response to Pakistan so that it desists from such incidents in future.
