Ruling out that presence of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in poll fray of Haryana, with which the BJP has its political alliance in Punjab, would have any adverse impact on the poll prospects of BJP, Balbir Punj, Incharge of BJP's affairs in Punjab on Saturday said that SAD's presence in Haryana poll would have "no" impact as SAD was having no existence in the neighbouring state.
"SAD has no existence in Haryana and even the two candidates it fielded in the poll fray originally belong to its alliance partner INLD", Punj told reporters when asked whether there would be any political chaos in the neighbouring Haryana due to presence of SAD, with which BJP was in the State Government.
Asked whether it would have any adverse impact on the relationship between SAD and BJP in Punjab, Punj also ruled out the same and said "you may ask this question to SAD too".
On a query whether construction of Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) Canal and formation of separate Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) would be the key issues in Haryana, Punj evaded a direct reply on the issue and said for BJP there were non-issues.
"Price rise will be the main poll plank in Haryana and BJP, which is contesting on all assembly segments on its own, will emerge as reckoning political force", He said while justifying the BJP's decision on breaking the alliance with INLD.
