The city police have booked a sales executive for allegedly fleecing his employer off Rs 12 lakh and producing a fake cheque. According to the police, Parvez Khan, the accused and resident of Badarpur, was working with Visaz Beauty and Health Care for many years. He used to bring bulk orders for the company.
He allegedly sold a consignment worth R12 lakh to a Sushant Lok-based firm and gave his employer a post-dated cheque. Since Sarita Devi, the employer, had full faith in him, she accepted the cheque. However, the cheque got dishonoured later.
“The employer’s efforts to contact Parvez failed as he had switched off his mobile. When the cheque was presented to the bank, it was found that the cheque was fake,” said Sajjan Kumar, SHO, the Sector 5 police station. “We have launched a manhunt and are confident that he would be arrested soon,” he added.
