Talk in the film trade is that Anil Sharma’s

Veer

, written by actor Salman Khan, is nothing but a rehash of the actor’s

Suryavanshi

(1992).

Earlier, it was stated that the film has been inspired by the Yul Brynner-Tony Curtis movie Taras Bulba. Now, a film trade source informs that Salman Khan plays a double role in the film. As in Suryavanshi, the theme is reincarnation.

It’s original

However, director Anil Sharma denies this rumour and insists that

Veer

is an original film. “If at all you want to compare my film, please compare it with

Mughal-e-Azam

or

Gone With the Wind

. But not a flop film like

Suryavanshi

,” says Sharma.

The director insists that he has been around for years but this is for the first time that his film has raised so much under-production hype.

“Every day I get up and read something or the other about my film. I guess the media loves me too much. They end up writing bad things about me,” says Sharma sarcastically.
