Warner Bros, which is planning to hop on to the Hindi film production wagon, has signed Salman Khan for a three-film deal, worth approximately Rs 25 crore.

According to trade circles, the deal allows Khan to choose the directors he wants to work with, as well as scripts.

Although this was the talk of the Naaz building circle, all the parties concerned were cagey and refused to commit themselves in print.

Salman Khan’s secretary Vikas Kapoor said, “We would not like to comment on the subject at this stage.” Besides Salman Khan, the company is also said to be in talks with Akshay Kumar for a similar three-film deal.

The actor, however, stated, “No, no, nothing of the sort.” Incidentally, Akshay Kumar recently nixed a Rs 21-crore deal with Adlabs. While, Hrithik Roshan has already signed a three-film deal with Adlabs for a reported Rs 30 crore.

Sanjay Narayanan, marketing manager of Warner Bros, said, “Nothing is confirmed. I’m not in a position to comment on it.” Blaze Fernandes, chief of Warner Bros said, “I’ve not come across any such news so far. To check out anything, you have the prerogative of contacting our Los Angeles office. We can’t give you any details.”

The multi-film deals offered by corporate companies and foreign film distribution companies have been an enormous blessing for the A-line actors whose fees per film have increased overnight.
