The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday thanked to all voters for their heavy participation in the electoral process and the support rendered to the party.
BJP media in charge Arun Kumar Gupta on Monday said the party was confident that it would form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir on its own, accomplishing its ‘Mission 44+’.
“The voters have participated in the elections in an unprecedented manner and voted in record numbers. The party is grateful to the electorate for their heavy participation and will be grateful to the voters as they broke the past records. The BJP has ensured that there was no atmosphere of fear and the voting was all round”, he said.
“This portends well for the future also, because it is often said that J&K is a difficult state and security is not easy to provide either to candidates or their supporters. This has been proved wrong by the voters, who rebuffed all attempts of intimidating them. The voters stepped out of their homes in an unprecedented manner and defying all odds. They did not bow before the dictates of the militants and defied them by voting in the elections,” Gupta pointed out.
“For the courage shown by the voters, the BJP salutes them and promises them all support in providing necessary security so that they can vote fearlessly. The best way to defy the militancy is to participate in the electoral process. This is what the voters have done in the present elections. The BJP promises that it will stand by the voters through all odds and never give them this feeling that they are alone. The voters have done enough for the party and now it is for the party to repay the debt that the voters have put it into,” he said.
