Samresh wins first position in 25-metre centre fire pistol

SAMRESH JUNG won the first position in the 25-meter centre fire pistol event, while Gagan Narang stood first in the 50-meter rifle three position for men on the 11th day of the selection trails for the Asian Games organised by National Rifle Association of India at Reoti Range on Sunday.

SAMRESH JUNG won the first position in the 25-meter centre fire pistol event, while Gagan Narang stood first in the 50-meter rifle three position for men on the 11th day of the selection trails for the Asian Games organised by National Rifle Association of India at Reoti Range on Sunday.

In the 25-metre centre fire pistol event, Samresh Jung of the CISF obtained 589 points to bag the first position followed by Vijay Kumar and Mahavir Singh of the Army securing 585 and 576 points respectively.

In the 50-metre rifle three position for men, Gagan Narang of Indian Airlines obtained 1151 points in the semifinal and 97.5 in the final totalling 1249.5 to bag the first position.

Hari Om Singh of the Army obtained 1,152 points in the semifinal 95.5 points in the final taking his total to 1247.5 points to be satisfied with the second position. Imran Hassan Khan of the Army got 1,148 in the semifinals and 94.7 points in the final taking his total to 1242.7 to win the third position.
