West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels has been passed fit for the upcoming tri-series at Kuala Lumpur where the team would face India and world champions Australia.
The Jamaican passed a fitness test conducted by Bryce Cavanagh, West Indies' strength and conditioning coordinator, after he injured his right knee in July during the Stanford 20/20 Tournament.
The test, which was done at the Antigua Recreation Ground, was observed by team coach Bennett King.
The 14-man West Indies squad will leave for Kuala Lumpur on September 8 for the warm-up tournament ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy in India, where the men from the Caribbean will defend their crown.
Brian Lara's side take on Australia in the opening match of the tournament on September 12.
