Sandeep selected for national camp

Drag flicker Sandeep Singh has been included in the national preparatory camp for the World League Round 3 to be held at Rotterdam, Netherlands from June 13. Sandeep is among six defenders selected for camp, which will commence from April 6 at Bangalore. A 34-name probables list was announced. Sandeep had earlier been dropped for Round 2 of the tournament, held in the city in February, due to lack of fitness.

Alok, Rupesh advance
Indore: Former champion Alok Kumar confirmed a medal for India by entering the semifinals of the 12th ONGC Asian Billiards championship here on Friday.
After finishing as third seed in the round-robin stage, Alok met compatriot and sixth seed B Bhaskar in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinal, Alok will play against Thailand's Praput Chaithanasukan, who outplayed K Venkatesham of India in straight set of games 4-Nil.
The other semifinal will be played between reigning world champion Rupesh Shah of India and Thawat Sujaritthurakarn of Thailand.
