Sania Mirza on Wednesday said she was not aware of the participation details of tennis ace Leander Paes, who was scheduled to be her mixed doubles partner for the upcoming Asian Hopman Cup beginning Thursday.
"I am preparing for the tournament," said Sania, who was practising at the Centre Court of SAAP Tennis Complex in Hyderabad.
Paes on Wednesday pulled out of the six-nation tournament to recover from the index finger injury ahead of next month's Asian Games in Doha and will be replaced by Rohan Bopanna.
The 67th ranked player's new coach Heath Matthew, who was also present there, said their main focus was on fitness.
"She is responding well and taking the drills seriously. It is only fitness that we have to work on as Sania has almost all the known strokes of the game with her," Matthew said.
