BARKATULLAH UNIVERSITY Registrar Dr Sanjay Tiwari may be transferred to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) Indore as the registrar, sources in the Higher Education Department hinted.

Indications are that Parikshit Singh, who was removed as DAVV registrar about five months ago, might be brought in place of Dr Tiwari as the Barkatullah University registrar.

The possible change is said to be a fallout of alleged differences between BU Vice-Chancellor Prof R S Sirohi and Registrar Dr Tiwari. This is said to have prompted Dr Tiwari to ask for a transfer from Barkatullah University.

In the recent past, the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar have been at cross-purposes, though somewhat indirectly. The main difference is said to have erupted over the deduction of salary of employees for the four-day strike period from November 20.

The post of registrar at DAVV, Indore, is lying vacant after Parikshit Singh was removed in August this year following confrontation with former vice-chancellor Dr C S Chadha. Chadha was also made to resign from the post of vice-chancellor.

When contacted, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Dr Bhagirath Prasad said some changes are on the anvil but no orders have been issued yet.
