Santa’s coming to town

With Christmas just a week away, the city’s calendar is choc-a-bloc with carnivals, food fests, concerts, and more. Here’s a look at some of them.

Green Christmas food festival: It’s not just world leaders — Santa is also doing his bit for the environment. At Latitude, Santa Claus will be dressed in green, decorations will be eco-friendly, and dishes will have a tinge of green. The culinary fiesta includes live stations for sizzlers, Oriental food and Indian street food. At Latitude, Mosaic Hotels, Sector 18, Noida, till December 23. Cost: Rs 699 + taxes (dinner buffet)

Christmas Carnival: There’s something for the entire family at this carnival, that opens with a Parade on December 19. Events include rock shows by Simple Truth Band (Dec 18- Jan 3), a tribute to the King of Pop (Dec 25), and a Bollywood night (Dec 26). Sweet indulgence: There’s nothing like traditional cakes and cookies to get you into the spirit of the season. Cost: Rs 50-1,000 + taxes

Christmas in Wonderland: Another fiesta that promises fun for the entire family. The mall has been transformed into a magical kingdom and a 30-feet-tall Christmas tree done up in purple graces the atrium. Attractions include book readings for kids by Santa and a model of the Polar Express. At Select Citywalk Mall, District Centre, Saket, till December 31.

Flying high: Make your Christmas merrier by winning a ticket to Egypt, among other gifts. Customers of Luxor Luxury Collection and Silhouette Beauty Salon, The Oberoi, can participate in this X-mas draw. The gala do will be graced by Member of Parliament Mohammad Azharuddin.
