SARWAR MANSOORI of Malwa Cambridge excelled in various wrestling competitions by winning seven medals to bring laurels to his school. The student of standard XI, Sarwar represented MP school team in the School National Wrestling competition and won silver in the 50 kg weight category.

SARWAR MANSOORI of Malwa Cambridge excelled in various wrestling competitions by winning seven medals to bring laurels to his school. The student of standard XI, Sarwar represented MP school team in the School National Wrestling competition and won silver in the 50 kg weight category.

In the district level inter-school wrestling competition, he won the first position in open category and in the recently concluded national wrestling competition at Shivpuri, he won seven medals in various categories.

Shishukunj shines
THE GIRLS of Shishukunj International School excelled in the CBSE national swimming competition held at Nagpur. Heta Dave won two golds and Akanksha Ohari bagged bronze medal to bring laurels to their school.

ILVA holds third position
ILVA HIGHER Secondary School handball team bagged third position in the recently concluded West Zone CBSE Handball competition held at Sri Ganganagar (Rajasthan). In the thrilling semifinal, ILVA boys went down fighting against host NPS by 21-23 to be satisfied with third position. Earlier, they defeated Bharatiya Vidyashram (Jaipur), Micro Vision Academy (Bhuranpur) and St Anthony School (Udaipur) to enter the last four.

BTC wins volleyball
BTC INDORE has topped the table in the fourth volleyball tournament organised by BSF, Indore. In Thursday’s match, BTC (Indore) beat STC Kashmir in straight sets 25-20 and 25-22 to top the league table. BTC has secured eight points followed by RTC 25 Battalion Chawla Camp with six point and STC Jodhpur with four points in third position. The finals will be played at 4 pm on Friday. Chief guest DIG Mohinderlal will distribute the prizes to winners and runners-up.

U-19 cricket tourney
THE INTER-DIVISIONAL U-19 cricket tournament for Hiralal Gaikwad Trophy three-day final between host Indore division and Sagar division will be played from Friday. The event is organised by Indore Division Cricket Association under the aegis of
MPCA at ITI grounds.

In the semifinals, Indore division defeated Rewa division and Sagar division beat Gwalior division to sail in to the final.Kiran Vaikar and Rajesh Timane will be officiating the match and the scorer for the final match will be Jayant Wankhade. The match will commence from 9:30 am to 12 noon, 12:40 pm to 2:40 pm and 3pm to 4.30 pm.

Sajid to attend meet
SAJID LODI, the tennis coach of Indore, is going to take part in the 13th ITF Asian Coaches Conference 2006 to be held at Bangkok from October 15-21. The conference is organised by Asian Tennis Federation, the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand and Olympic Solidarity. Different aspects of tennis, biomechanics, nutrition, physiology, sports medicine, sports psychology will be presented and discussed at the meet. Madhya Pradesh Tennis Association secretary Anil Dhuper and other members have congratulated Sajid Lodi.
