Demi Moore and Natalie Portman are showing those now. But sun spots and crow’s-feet (fine lines that appear around the corner of eyes) — the first signs of ageing — show up earlier than we realise.
“If your skin is extremely dry, chances of premature ageing are high. One can have crow’s-feet or laughter lines at a very young age,” says Kiran Bawa, Iosis MediSpa. “Crow’s-feet occur because of dryness, ageing, hormonal imbalance, and need intensive care. Apply fruit-based cream rich in vitamin A and C. Massage around the eyes before going to bed. Wipe it in the morning and massage again with some vitamin E oil,” says Simmi Ghai, beauty expert, Xpressions.
“Fine lines are primarily the result of a genetic predisposition, or external elements such as stress, exposure to sunlight and smoking,” says Bawa.
“Repeated muscle movement from smiling, laughing, and squinting creases the skin and results in crow’s-feet. We can’t avoid them, but measures can be taken to delay their onset,” says Dr Anup Dhir, Cosmetalogist, Apollo.
Tips to lighten fine lines:
Fine lines can be lightened with topical creams that contain collagen to fill in the gaps.
Chemical treatments like laser, botox, microdermabrasion and chemical peelings also help improve the situation.
Applying carrot seed oil around the eyes can lessen the onset of wrinkles.
Egg is the best possible option for skin tightening and reduction of wrinkles. Massaging the affected area with egg yolk can be helpful. Add olive oil (to the egg yolk) to remove wrinkles.
Increase the intake of olive oil in your diet.
Almond oil massage is a good way to moisturise skin.
Apply sweet orange and sweet lemon on the area with vitamin E oil.
