Only 149.3 mm of rain has been recorded so far till July 5 against district average rainfall of 1075.77 mm, sources said.
After a long dry spell, Nashik experienced good rains from June 29 to July 4 aiding farmers to begin their sowing operations, but later inadequate rains posed irrigation problems, they said.
Nashik recorded 7688.3 mm rains between June 1, 2008 and July 5 last year, sources said.
Meanwhile, district administration is busy making arrangements for supply of water from small and medium dams for drinking water purposes as Gangapur and Darna dams have sufficient water to meet irrigation requirements till August.
