SCHOLAR?S HOME Public School and Campion E today entered the next round of the ESPN-Orion Day-Night Cricket Tournament being organised at Orion International School.

SCHOLAR’S HOME Public School and Campion E today entered the next round of the ESPN-Orion Day-Night Cricket Tournament being organised at Orion International School. 

In the first match of the senior category, Scholar’s Home Public School reached the target of 90 runs set by New Little Angels School losing five wickets.

Batting first, New Little Angels School scored 89 runs for the loss of five wickets. Subroto was declared Man of the Match for his 53-run innings.

Campion E registered an 11-run victory over St Mary B in the second match of the senior category. Chasing the total of 101 set by Campion E, St Mary B was restricted to 90 for the loss of six wickets.

In the junior section, Gandhi National Public School defeated Sharda Public School by six wickets.

Water sports show today
THE SPORTS and Youth Welfare Department will organise a demonstration of kayaking, canoeing, sailing and rowing at Shahpura Lake from 5.30 pm on May 7.

According to department officials, the objective of the show is to popularise the game and  provide basic information of water sports.

At present, water sports   activities are being held at Water Sports Centre, Upper Lake.
