According to information, the bus was carrying children to the Kendriya Vidyalaya-2 when it suddenly overturned at the turn. The driver was speeding the bus excessively and lost control over the vehicle at the turn. The bus hit the footpath and turned turtle.

The injured children were rushed to the Ayushman Hospital. Those injured included Rohit, Namita, Mudit, Kanhaiya, Abhishek, Nisha, Deeksha and Priyanjali.

A schoolteacher, who was travelling in the bus, also sustained injuries in the mishap. Most of the children live in Shahpura and nearby localities.
