GUNA MEMBER of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia has suggested introducing trains on the lines of the famous `Palace on Wheels’ in religious and tourist places of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Scindia has written to Union Railway Minister Lalu Yadav in this regard and urged him to consider the suggestion.

Scindia in his letter suggested introducing such trains in Gwalior, Datia, Sanchi, Jhansi, Orchha, Khajurao and Ujjain cities for tourists’ convenience. He said such trains would not only attract tourists in India but also from abroad. Many places in these cities have historic significance, he added.

Palace of Wheels from Delhi to Rajasthan has proved to be a success in attracting tourists and it would prove helpful in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh in boosting tourism, Scindia added.
