Leader of the Opposition L.K. Advani on Friday asked the government to give up the Indo-US nuclear because it had stood completely “isolated” during the debate in Parliament on the issue.

“When the NDA, Left and UNPA MPs ‘voted with their feet’, particularly in the Rajya Sabha, dissatisfied with the government’s reply, almost two-thirds of the House got emptied, clearly revealing the stand of the House on the deal,” he said,

Advani said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should stick to his earlier commitment that he would go ahead with the deal only if consensus was there in Parliament as it was supreme.
