Security has been beefed up along Tripura's border with Bangladesh following recent political instability in the neighbouring country.
All the border outposts along the 856 km international border were asked to keep close vigil, SK Datta, Inspector General of BSF (Tripura frontier) said in Agartala on Saturday.
There was no infiltration from across the border in the aftermath of the political crisis in Bangladesh, he said.
The strength of the BSF on the Tripura frontier was good enough to tackle the situation if needed, he said.
Altogether 15 battalions of BSF are deployed along Tripura's border with Bangladesh to prevent cross border movement of insurgents, infiltration and smuggling, he added.
