ELABORATE SECURITY arrangements have been made by the police for peaceful conduct of Dussehra and Bharat Milap.

Following the recent terror incidents including serial bomb blasts at Varanasi railway station, Sankat Mochan temple and recovery of a powerful bomb from busy Dashashwamedh area, the police has provided sketches of four suspected terrorists to the cops deployed on sensitive points in the city.

Cops have been put on alert to keep a vigil on the activities of suspected elements. Special security arrangements have been made at the Gyanwapi Complex, Nati Imli and overcrowded pandals of Durga Puja in different parts of city. Gaudaulia and Dashashwamedh Ghat will be under tight security cover on the day of Dussehera.

The police has concentrated much more on the security of Bharat Milap venue at Nati Imli. No devotee would be allowed to carry any kind of bag or object with him during the function to be held on October 3.

SSP Ashutosh Pandey said, the owners of houses around the venue of Bharat Milap have been directed not to allow unknown persons in their houses. Only acquainted persons in limited number should be allowed. The cops would also be deployed on the rooftops of these buildings.

Every year lakhs of devotees throng the Ramlila ground at Nati Imli to have a glimpse of emotional re-union of Lord Ram and Bharat.
