Security in and around the disputed site in Ayodhya has been beefed up to thwart any terror attack, police said on Monday.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sunil Gupta visited the disputed site and held a review of security arrangements with officials on Sunday.
Gupta said that metal detectors were installed at the three main temples - Hanuman temple, Kanak Bhawan and Nageshwarnath temple and massive checking is being done at railway stations, hotels and lodges.
Public have been asked to be on alert and report to police immediately about any suspicious activity and persons. Besides orders had been given to carry out surprise checks, he added.
