Security has been beefed up in Udhampur and Reasi districts of Jammu province for the upcoming assembly elections.

Polling in these districts, comprising six assembly segments, will be held on December 2, the second part of a five-phase election in the state.

Over 240 polling booths in both the districts have been categorised as sensitive while 520 others have been declared as normal.

DIG Udhampur-Reasi range, Gareeb Dass said that 129 additional companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed there.

In Reasi district, where 45 polling stations have been declared as hypersensitive, the army has also been deployed.
