Seven get life term in murder case in Hisar

District Court in Hisar today has sentenced seven persons to life imprisonment in a case of murder of Narender Singh of village Sarangpur in Hisar district on October 18, 2001.

District Court in Hisar on Tuesday has sentenced seven persons to life imprisonment in a case of murder of Narender Singh of village Sarangpur in Hisar district on October 18, 2001.

Additional district and sessions judge Hisar, Sandeep Garg after finding them guilty sentenced Inder Singh of village Bhirdana (Fatehabad), Ram Kishan of Rupana, Kamal Singh of Kalirawan, Sher Singh of Sadalpur, Bansi Lal of Khera Khori, Shrawan of Choudhariwas and Sanjay of Adampur to life imprisonment. All accused were ordered to pay a fine of Rs.10 thousand each and in case of default of payment of fine they would further undergo imprisonment for another three months.

The court, however, acquitted five persons Sanjay, Anoop, Bhagat Singh, Ashok and Jagdish on the basis of lock of evidence. According to the prosecution, some persons came on a vehicle on October 18, 2001 and shot dead Narender.

On complaint of Amar Singh of Sarangpur village, a murder case under relevant section of the IPC and also of the Arms Act was registered in Adampur police station on october 18, 2001.
